I decided to get out of the house today and take a drive to Highland Park (East LA) to try out some vegan tacos.  The family owned business, Plant Food For People (PFFP), has created an awesome  Vegan “carnita” taco made from jack fruit. Each taco can be ordered with 2 toppings.  I chose tomatillo salsa and nela cole slaw on one and Chipotle mayo and pico de gallo on the other.  Superb!  The texture and taste of the jack fruit is identical to meat.  I’m definitely going back.  They also made homemade pinto beans!  The price is excellent $2.00 per taco.  What a deal!
